What's In Store For US - Japan Of The 90's or Argentina of 2002?
The inflation / deflation debate in the US is still alive and well. In deflation camp, there is the rising star du-jour Nouriel Roubini and old timer Robert Prechter. They argue the debt collapse would cause price deflation and depress world economies for years to come. The inflation camp includes Jim Rogers and Marc Faber, who said on May 27 2009 that "I am 100 percent sure that the U.S. will go into hyperinflation "...

Markets Looking Good - Pam and Mary Anne
The metals in general are solid and firm. Gold was basically in a sideways market this week but its C rise is still underway above $925 (basis August). A close above $950 would look promising, and of course above $1004 would mean that a strong C rise and stronger phase of the bull market is underway. Meanwhile, we could still see some weakness this month or next. If gold closes and stays below $920, it could then possibly test its major trend. If so, it would be the last great buying opportunity. The stronger gold price and weaker dollar index is saying that we may not see weakness (see Webextra).
